Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(8/30/2010 2:11:03 PM) - This is excellent, still trying to figure out how it was done?

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(8/30/2010 2:10:08 PM) - Agree with Joe, if you could sharpen the eyes a touch, it will sing.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(8/30/2010 2:08:31 PM) - Nicely done, with a lovely balanced exposure, some pink tinge [^321;589;1] but I'm guessing it's a reflection from the foliage.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(8/30/2010 2:06:31 PM) - This has lots going for it, works just as well in B&W

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(8/30/2010 2:03:39 PM) - #13 Arno Hollander(Sniper 1): Whites are fine, I repeat, it's about time you grew up and stopped your silly, rather childish games.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(8/30/2010 11:56:57 AM) - #10 Arno Hollander(Sniper 1): Isn't it about time you grew up.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(8/29/2010 6:22:24 PM) - #2 April(Cindy M.): It's too grown up for MJ, he couldn't handle it ;)

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(8/29/2010 6:09:06 PM) - Front view

Top 10 Recommendation
Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/22/2010 6:58:59 PM) - This is class Herman, and works just as well in B&W

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/21/2010 11:10:09 AM) - Nice set of wheels

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/20/2010 12:47:09 PM) - Belter of an image Mike.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/19/2010 10:58:05 AM) - This is gorgeous, with creamy light.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/17/2010 3:12:29 PM) - Class....like this a lot Mike.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/17/2010 3:11:52 PM) - Absolutely gorgeous.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/17/2010 3:10:58 PM) - Love this, catching the plane at the perfect moment.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/17/2010 3:09:17 PM) - Another cracking image, your use of fill flash on these type of shots never cease to impress.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/17/2010 3:07:57 PM) - Very good image, with the river leading you through the scene very well.

I'd perhaps tone down the greens just a swmidgen?

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/17/2010 3:06:03 PM) - Cracking image, works just as well as a pano.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/13/2010 12:57:17 PM) - Good image Mike, and I like (intentionally or not) how your truck provides some neat reflections.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/13/2010 12:53:41 PM) - Excellent street shot, and it really comes to life in B&W

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(7/13/2010 12:52:04 PM) - Almost abstract, with all the primary colours coming together seamlessly.

Good work.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/24/2010 1:49:52 PM) - With Marks crop, this sings

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/24/2010 1:43:01 PM) - He looks really p*****d off with his lot :)

good shot.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/24/2010 1:41:53 PM) - Clean and serene, lovely BIF image.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/24/2010 1:40:46 PM) - This is nice Ray, bright sunlight and clear skies often don't work, but this does.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/24/2010 1:39:06 PM) - Lovely, a smidgen tight on the right, but no biggy.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/24/2010 1:38:15 PM) - Another class act.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/24/2010 1:37:50 PM) - I like this a lot, but find the toning is too warm (or feminine) for the subject, therefore works best in B&W for me.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/24/2010 9:37:53 AM) - #2 Mark Polis: BTW, doesn't the left 'happy hippy' (the one with the gold lamé pants) look a bit like Marty ? His uncle perhaps ;)

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/24/2010 7:42:06 AM) - And another context image-a couple of happy hippies :)

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/24/2010 7:00:19 AM) - Don't encourage him ;)

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/23/2010 9:04:44 AM) - Good light, and a good catch.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/23/2010 8:45:32 AM) - This is lovely, delicate and very appealing, gorgeous light

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/23/2010 8:44:21 AM) - I might be doing this to my flag in a couple of hours if the Team doesn't produce the goods!!!!

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/23/2010 8:42:27 AM) - It's good, but too much of a set piece for me, I think you used a slide-rule, protractor and inclinometer for those FG leaves :)

I have an urge to take all the bits, throw them in the air.....then photograph the result.

But I still like it.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/23/2010 8:36:15 AM) - Like a fairy tale...wonderful.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/23/2010 8:35:23 AM) - Very good portrait, good light, good model, good eye contact, good exposure.

Slight hair/BG bleed [^842;174;1] but no biggy.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/23/2010 8:33:10 AM) - This is unusual, but effective, works for me.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/21/2010 2:28:33 PM) - With Herman's suggested edit, this works.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/21/2010 2:24:58 PM) - This is good Art, this is very good, and the noise has held up well. Don't normally like selective colouring, but works well here.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/21/2010 2:22:20 PM) - I like this, very creatively done.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/19/2010 11:10:41 AM) - Remove her 'red-eye' and you have a winner.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/18/2010 6:47:23 AM) - #10 MJFerron: Why F20 ?

Force of habit mainly, and I find using L glass, diffraction is not such a big issue, although it's there, not as noticeable as on cheap lenses.

Plus, even though F11 would probably give me the DOF I needed, I wanted to make sure.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/18/2010 6:43:11 AM) - This is unusual, and I reckon not to everyone's taste, but it works for me, challenging, abstract and appealing.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/18/2010 6:40:24 AM) - Works for me, with those FG pinks really adding to the scene. I'm pleased you have resisted the urge to oversaturate the colours, the enderstated, soft, muted colours suite this composition well.

Only niggle is the slight halo around the trees top left.[^73;81;1]

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/18/2010 3:17:58 AM) - Oh yes, I do like this, wonderful light, and the zig-zag of her pose interacts (and contrasts) marvellously with the bricks.
Top stuff.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/16/2010 5:06:03 PM) - Very nice.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/16/2010 5:05:32 PM) - Works well enough for me, beautiful.

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/16/2010 2:27:54 PM) - This is clever JM, a bit different :)

Comment by Les McLean (**** ))(6/16/2010 2:23:04 PM) - I like this Anita, with the Mine Head providing an excellent focal point.

Looks good in B&W also.
